Today's update from Callisto:
We left Aratika yesterday after negotiating the tiny pass to get out of the atoll and sailed south for about 40 NM to a larger atoll called Fakarava, advertised as having world class diving on the reefs. We arrived last evening and went ashore to find a small village which we will further explore today. They have some pearl farms and tourism but not much else, hopefully there will be a small store for groceries and baguettes.
There are a few boats here, the first we have seen since we left the Marquesas and we will talk to some of the crews over the next week or so that we plan to stay.
Fakarava is located at 16 03.6S, 145 37.3 W
