Now in Bahia Santa Maria with excellent weather. Played with the sailing dinghy and I think we have the record fish caught. All in all this rally has been a lot of fun. We will be here until morning of November 4 and then on to Cabo San Lucas.

It is now nice and warm and tropical. We are 30 miles off Bahia Santa Maria where we will spend the next 2 days. We had a 50 pound Wahoo today and will be eating fish for days. Crew is all well no puking now but we could have more breeze; we are motoring now.

Arrived in Turtle Bay

We arrived in beautiful, down town Turtle Bay yesterday, safe and sound but a little weary. We had quite a lot of wind gusting to 27 kts. We were one of the first boats to arrive and the rest are coming in in dribs and drabs. Photos to follow soon.

Pacific Cruise March 2010

I would like to leave Costa Rica From Golfito around mid March, 2010 to cross the Pacific Ocean.
Ist. leg Costa Rica to Isla Del Cocos 287nm.
Galapagos 440 nm.
Marquesas 30000nm.
Will need a commitment for 6 weeks.
2nd. leg Tuamotos and Society Islands
(Tahiti, Moorea, BoraBora) 800 nm.
Will spend about 2 months .
3rd. leg Cook Islands 600 nm.
4th. leg American Samoa 850 nm.
5th. leg Tonga 330 nm.
6th. leg Fiji 550 nm.
7th leg Auckland, New Zealand 1100 nm.

I plan on leaving Fiji before the end of October in order to reach New Zealand before the cyclone season begins. I will, most likely, be in New Zealand for four to six months.
I will need crew for the open ocean legs. The first leg will require a total of 6 continuous weeks on the boat but promises some great sailing and landfalls.
Please let me know if you are interested.
