Baja HaHa start in San Diego

We arrived in Cabo four days ago after a gentle sail down from Bahia Santa Maria. Weather is quite warm especially at mid-day but cools off nicely at night. We are anchored off the beach and enjoying a view of Los Archos and the entire bay. The Mexican paperwork cha-cha was achieved with only minor hassle with the immigration guys asking for extra money to "expedite" the situation for the visas. We have been involved with the HaHa activities ashore, the last of which was last night with an award ceremony at 1800H. We won an award for the largest fish caught, known as the Master Baiter Trophy. It's a plastic talking bass that I shall treasure for years. Joanne left yesterday for San Francisco and we will probably go tomorrow to San Jose del Cabo and Los Frailes and then on to Mazatlan.

Now in Bahia Santa Maria with excellent weather. Played with the sailing dinghy and I think we have the record fish caught. All in all this rally has been a lot of fun. We will be here until morning of November 4 and then on to Cabo San Lucas.

It is now nice and warm and tropical. We are 30 miles off Bahia Santa Maria where we will spend the next 2 days. We had a 50 pound Wahoo today and will be eating fish for days. Crew is all well no puking now but we could have more breeze; we are motoring now.

Second Leg of Baja Haha

We are on our second leg in much lighter air. Now 30 miles south-east of Turtle Bay and it's a beautiful day. Making 7.0kts under asymmetric spinakker. No fish yet today.

Arrived in Turtle Bay

We arrived in beautiful, down town Turtle Bay yesterday, safe and sound but a little weary. We had quite a lot of wind gusting to 27 kts. We were one of the first boats to arrive and the rest are coming in in dribs and drabs. Photos to follow soon.
